About us - Our team
There are currently six people behind bering*kopal . Büro für Kommunikation. Together we manage our dynamic day-to-day agency life.
Our agency office is located in Stuttgart-Rohr, on the periphery of Stuttgart, for over ten years. Built in the 1970s by the architect couple Werner and Annegret Hammeley and used as an architectural office for many, many years, the building ensemble with adjoining residential building still exudes the original charm of that time. We also love our wide view over the green "Rohrer Stadtpark" to the world famous Stuttgart TV tower.
Heike BeringCEO, emphatic pro with a lot of sensitivity
Her tasks: PR and media strategy, coaching, copywriting, moderation and workshops, knowledge transfer
It doesn't really need to be said that Heike is a real public relations ace. As co-founder of bering*kopal and having been in the business for many years, the trained Romanist and art historian is bursting with energy when it comes to her job. Developing content and texts? She does it with ease. But she is also excellent at more: analyzing people, situations and overall contexts: Analyzing people, situations and overall contexts to the point and assessing them very well. And that's a real gift, for our clients and our team too, by the way.
Special Fact: Heike loves new things and has a lot of power. Together with her husband Thomas, with whom she founded bering*kopal, she is fully committed to a sustainably planned, cooperative housing project on Lake Constance. And when she runs out of energy, a round of yoga helps her.
Rainer HäuplCEO, calming figure with an eye for the essentials
His tasks: PR and media strategy, consulting, knowledge transfer, text, organization, workshops
Rainer has been running the agency with Heike since 2022. As a qualified architect and trained architecture journalist, he had already been associated with bering*kopal for many years before joining the management team - through a shared network and common projects. In stressful situations, he brings his clear view of the essentials and composure to the table. And his distinctive sense of humor, with which he has solved many a tricky situation with ease. Not to mention the fact that he knows his stuff and knows exactly what he's doing.
Special Fact: Rainer is the father of twins and an allotment garden owner. So he also knows a thing or two about growth and successful communication in his private life.
Susanne DubbertEditor and consultant, organization and text professional
Her tasks: Consulting, text, concepts, design
When you work with Susanne, you can be sure that everything will run smoothly. As an experienced journalist, she always has the topics and tasks under control and leaves nothing to chance. With her good humor, openness and curiosity, she enriches every discussion. And hardly anyone can fool her professionally: As a qualified interior designer, she has an overview of design content anyway, and she is also good at craftsmanship - after all, she has close family connections in this area.
Special fact: Susanne lives at the foot of the Swabian Alb and runs up the Georgenberg every morning, whatever the weather. This helps her balance her job and family life with a healthy sense of perspective.
Bettina WassermannEditor and consultant, wide-awake all-round talent
Her tasks: Text, consulting, AI, graphics
Bettina is a small, lively wonder, has a wide range of interests and can do (almost) anything. She studied both architecture and marketing - and is therefore predestined for her job with us. Not only did she rock the PR department for a well-known architecture firm. Always cheerful and in a good mood, she tackles all her tasks with great energy. She writes lively, technically sound texts for us and keeps a variety of communication balls in the air for our clients. She is also passionate about graphics and AI.
Special Fact: Bettina's van is freedom, leisure and relaxation for her. When everyday life lets her go, she reduces everything to the essentials: Then she packs her husband and three children into the van and simply takes off with it. That's a good thing.
Bastian ZinkConsultant and project manager, committed team player
His tasks: Project management and coordination, media planning, placement, new business
If you need anything - ask Basti. He is a remarkable multi-tasker, uncomplicated, nimble, open and always on hand. Editorial inquiries, media plans, events, trade fairs, our database, research, concepts, timelines - Basti keeps an eye on all of this with the utmost reliability and a pleasantly relaxed attitude. That he, as he says himself, “can't do text” - so what? Project management is at least as important in agency life. And Basti does it with excellence.
Special Fact: Basti is a family man, a native of Stuttgart, clears his head by riding his racing bike and is an honorary head of department at a soccer club. Wonder who his favorite club is? Have a guess.
Thomas KopalCo-founder, tech-affine book lover
His tasks: Consulting, editor, accounting, IT and EDP
Thomas Kopal set up the agency together with Heike Bering, but both have their own specialties. Without Thomas, almost nothing would run in the back office. IT issues, equipment and smooth operation of IT & Co are in the best hands with him, alongside financial issues. In digital times, Thomas will always love books - and so, year after year, he produces a popular standard work on medical topics, for which he employs a hand-picked team of scientific journalists. All this with a steady hand, joy and absolute reliability.
Special Fact: Thomas clearly prefers the warm season to winter. Because then he can saddle up his motorcycle and set off on tours to the Swabian Alb or the Black Forest.
